Our Story

Almost seven years ago, I was fired from a toxic job (they said that I “quit”).

So I had less than one hundred dollars to my name, and nowhere to live. I called a friend on the phone and she and her partner let me move into their dry cabin with them. I lived in a room that I couldn’t stand up in, and it didn’t even have a door! Shortly before being “fired” I was working on my recipes for making fire cider. A dog mushing friend had turned me on to fire cider right at a time where I was starting to understand the reality of nutrition and health. My mom, myself, and many if not most people that I knew have needlessly suffered most of their lives. We’ve all been told our health is all in our genes, it’s all hard wired destiny and there’s nothing you can do about it. People think type 2 diabetes and depression and genetic, that’s absolutely crazy! Many of the worst health problems we suffer from as a nation and world, are conditions, NOT irreversible diseases. After ten years of debilitating IBS that radically affected my ability to socialize, and depression, and poor sleep, and addiction, I had had enough.

Being fake fired from a crappy job was just the push I needed to start taking responsibility for my own life. I brought my fire ciders to the Tanana Valley Farmers Market and that was how we got started.

Now we have our own commercial facility, I serve as the president of the board of directors for the farmers market, we wholesale our products, and are doing our best to prepare to open up a cafe sometime in 2023.

We believe in using natural products that have scientific research backing both their efficacy and potential. We believe that both nature and science together prove to be the most effective combination in both prevention and treatment. We believe that a business can be successful, and ethical, and honest, and use top-quality ingredients instead of using the absolute cheapest of ingredients as many are satisfied doing. We don’t believe in gimmicky, dishonest, overselling and overhyping. We believe that people’s interest in optimizing their lives to be as healthy as possible will continue to rise and we want to continue to be part of that evolving conversation.
