Wild Alaskan Reishi, aka Ganoderma Applanatum, or, Artists Conk Mushroom.

Alaskan Reishi Mushroom, aka Artist's Conk scientific name is Ganoderma Applanatum.

It is a direct cousin to Reishi Mushroom aka Ganoderma Lucidum.

These tinctures were made from wild-foraged conks here in the Fairbanks Alaska region. Artist's Conk is an adaptogen that shares some properties with it's more famous cousin reishi.

It is known for many medicinal purposes but is also used in drinks, food, and soups all the world in interesting ways including being blended, water extracted, and even fermented with lemon juice to add to various dishes for its' benefits and umami flavor.

Scientific research strongly supports but does not prove Alaskan Reishi's properties including:

-reducing viral infection in bees

-increase glutathione levels

-elevates SOD (super oxide dismutase)

With the growing attention being focused on the health properties of wild mushrooms, we are sure to learn a lot more about them in the coming years.
